When the holy and righteous go down in flames.

So you think you serve God and everything will be great huh? Wrong. Proof: the holy, righteous, God fearing people seem to be the ones who suffer more than any other. Is it the dark forces at work, trying to cripple God’s army? Is God testing us? How and why could He allow such suffering in His people?

Let’s look to some facts: the Jews have probably suffered more than any other race and they are God’s chosen people. Christians are being killed in other countries today just because they are Christians.

I don’t think many of us are named Job, so I doubt God is testing us.

I have learned in my short life that those who love God the most, those who are the most humble in God’s name seem to suffer. I can only come to my conclusion from my own personal experience. Suffering brings me closer to God. I hate that! Do you know how conflicting that sounds?! Unfortunately, I learn from my suffering, even grow. My beliefs, values and thoughts have almost all formed from tough life experiences.

I am NOT saying we should be happy in our suffering. Not much can make suffering easier to deal with. But, every trial I go through, I come out a different person. Thankful for still being around after all, knowing I have God to talk to.

Shalom ya'll,
